MRS. GEORGE BURNS DIES AT HOME HERE

Short Illness Causes Death of Marion Woman; Rites Saturday

Mrs. Helen May Burns, 58 died suddenly of a heart attack today at 12:15 am [note: death certificate says "PM"] at her home at 796 Congress street. She was ill 35 minutes.

Surviving her are her husband George W. Burns, a daughter Helen Louise at home, a brother, George L. Smith of Los Angeles, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Alta S. Sheely of Mansfield and Miss Irene Smith of Baltimore, MD.  

Mrs. Burns was born Oct. 24, 1875 in Mansfield to Henry and Martha Deaton Smith, natives of England. She was married March 16, 1899 in Galion. 

She was a member of the First Congregational church at Mansfield.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM at the W.C. Boyd funeral home on South Main Street with Rev. Oscar V. Latta of the Oakland Evangelical church officiating. The body will be placed in the Marion mausoleum.
